The chameleon is a restless creature, always on the move in search of food. But before it takes a single step, it looks in all directions, over every branch and around every tree. That’s because the chameleon knows that danger could be lurking anywhere.
This cautious behavior is reflected in today’s African proverb. Chameleon only crosses when he is sure it is safe. This proverb teaches us that we should be just as careful as the chameleon when making decisions in life. We should take our time to consider all the options and consequences before taking action. Otherwise, we may end up in a dangerous situation.
