Greetings Village!
#DailyAfricanProverbs takes us to #Comoros
The Proverb says: βA whistle will not call back a dog that has escaped from the leash.
As any dog owner knows, keeping a pet safe and under control can be a challenge. Dogs have a tendency to wander off, and even the best-trained animal can sometimes slip out of its leash. If a dog does manage to escape, it can be difficult or impossible to get it back. Our proverb from Comoros warns against trying to use a whistle to call back a runaway dog. The whistle will not work if the dog is already out of range, and it may even make the situation worse by causing the dog to run away in fear.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to let go of the things that hold you back.
